A. Spendiaryan's Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater
Choir
From 1933`from the day of the foundation of the Opera, the choir has been doing endless activities ` by participating to hundreds of plays during the last 75 years. The first composer has been V. Nikolsky. Honorable artists of Armenia K. Karapetyan and R. Ayzavyan have also been in position of main composer for the choir.
Other than its main theatrical activities, the choir has represented to the Armenian and foreign auditor with countless creations by Armenian, Russian and European composers. The Opera’s Choir has also been one of Armenia’s best musical-theatrical schools, which has educated many youths that have later become famous soloists. Today the Choir’s new generation continues the beautiful traditions of the theater.
